Heart Foundation WA Branch
Design from the Heart
Our work with the WA office of the National Heart Foundation commenced in 2019 as a performance study for the existing air conditioning services on levels 1 and 2 along with a fitout brief for the Corporate office. The Corporate office at that time was located on the first floor. Our research determined that the client’s brief would be most cost-effectively delivered were they to relocate to level 2 where the existing air conditioning plant and equipment was more suitable for the predominantly closed-plan occupancy requirements. At that time, the level 2 tenancy was only partially occupied by a tenant which was amenable to a temporary relocation whilst the fitout work would proceed.
The design for the new level 2 Corporate office tenancy features a central café area with striking colours and feature lighting, 16 height-adjustable cubicle workstations and timber screening, enclosed offices for 5 personnel, 2 enclosed media rooms with state-of-the art audio visual facilities, 2 large conferencing rooms also with state-of-the art audio visual facilities, an elegant new waiting area with 3 dimensional backlit corporate signage.
Whereas the Heart Foundation had historically taken a low-key approach to security, mindful of contemporary requirements for personnel safety, more extensive deployment of the existing access control system was introduced. Whereas the Heart Foundation had historically taken a low-key approach to security, mindful of contemporary requirements for personnel safety, more extensive deployment of the existing access control system was introduced. This particularly affected enabling shared use of the male, female and unisex ablution facilities for both the Heart Foundation and its tenants. The project also included a decorative makeover of the female toilet facilities. Read More
